Woodturners Catalog Christmas Ornaments

Woodturners Catalog Christmas Ornaments

September 18th from 9-5 the Woodcraft Guild will be sponsoring a Wood turning Party. We will have 4-5 workstations set up for you to come get some quick instruction and guidance on how to turn or make a variety of Christmas ornaments. This is part of the Guilds Charity project and we are looking for your help to turn at least 75 Christmas ornaments for the Festival of Trees Fundraiser for the Idaho Falls Development Workshop. This is a great hands-on experience and it will give you a chance to support one of our local charities.

While the event will run from 9-5 you are free to come and go at any time. There will be no formal meeting just a bunch of people interested in turning to support a great local charity. We are planning on having some refreshments at the party but lunch is on your own. We would love to see you at this event even if it is just for a few turns.

Location Details: Eastern Idaho Technical College Building # 2 Room 215. If you turn off of 17th Street going North between Pier 1 imports and Burger King onto Ashment then right (east) between the old Ponderosa Paint and the LDS institute building you will see building #2 on your left. The event will be in the brick building with rounded corners. There is an outside door to the room we will be using and it will be propped open or unlocked.

New Guild Leadership for 2010 - 2011

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

As my time as President of the Woodcraft Guild comes to a close I wanted to let you know that I have really enjoyed serving as the President of the guild this past year. I appreciate all the help and support that each member has given to me as we have tried to build this club together. But the time has come for me to step down and let someone have the opportunity to give the club direction.
The time has come to nominate someone that you think would be a willing to be the President and that could take the Guild to a new level. I would like to have the nominations close by June 15th so submit your nominations early.
Once again thanks for your help and support but more importantly your friendship.
