Here are the Instant Gallery entries for April 2009
We will meet Thursday May 7th at 7:00 we will be meeting at Eastern Idaho Technical College Building # 2 Room 207A. If you turn off of 17th Street going North between Pier 1 imports and Burger King onto Ashment then right (east) between the Ponderosa Paint and the LDS institute building you will see building #2 on your left. It is a brick building with rounded corners. There is an outside door to the room we will be using and it will be propped open.
The Demonstration will be by Christian Godfrey on Turning a Duck Call
We will of course have our instant gallery with prizes for both Silver and Gold categories available so bring something you have made and submit it in the Instant Gallery. Members don’t forget this month’s challenge is “Something Miniature” The item must be smaller than 2 square inches! Hope to see you all there.
The Idaho Artistry in Wood Show is on May 2nd and 3rd at the Brown’s Gallery in Boise, Idaho. The event is very popular and the show provides opportunities for participation in judged competition, displays and sales.
The event will also include demonstrations, prizes and other activities. The show will include woodcarving, woodturning, woodburning, scrolling, fine woodworking, marquetry, gourds and intarsia. Fees are $3.00 per piece if registered in advance, or $4.00 on the day of registration at the gallery.
