Woodturning Design Editor Joe Herrmann to Demo for Woodcraft Guild May 23rd
Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 The spring closing social on Saturday May 23rd 11:00 am @ EITC will feature Joe Herrmann and Richard Anderson together demonstrating on two separate lathes. This will be the premier event for the Woodcraft Guild and will close out our winter. We plan to grill some hamburgers and have some lunch at the meeting. Please bring some chips or a potluck dish to add to the festivities.
Joe Herrmann is an award winning Industrial Arts woodworking instructor who retired after teaching for 30 years in a small, rural school in Northeast Ohio. He has taught woodturning at major woodworking schools and has demonstrated at regional woodworking clubs and shows.
Joe has written numerous articles for “Creative Woodworks and Crafts” magazine and is the editor for All American Craft’s new woodturning magazine, “Woodturning Design“–the first full color, quarterly magazine published in the US that will be devoted to all things woodturning! He has also written articles for “Fine Woodworking” and the “Woodworker’s Journal.”
Location: Eastern Idaho Technical College Building # 2 Room 207A. If you turn off of 17th Street going North between Pier 1 imports and Burger King onto Ashment then right (east) between the Ponderosa Paint and the LDS institute building you will see building #2 on your left. It is a brick building with rounded corners. There is an outside door to the room we will be using and it will be propped open.
